We've seen that wood-effect porcelain tiles are very much in demand with our customers. Advances in manufacturing technology - leading to increasingly realistic designs which mimic authentic wood flooring - mean that they continue to be popular across the board with homeowners, interior designers and commercial shop-fitting contractors.
Wood-effect porcelain tiles imitate the grain and texture of a hardwood timber floor whilst offering the durability and low maintenance of a glazed porcelain product. With all the character of a natural timber floor our Wood range is a practical and stylish addition which will enhance any space - both residential and commercial.
Our Wood range of porcelain tiles is available in 4 natural shades - from brown and nut through to lighter cream and grey - which have been carefully selected to replicate the hues found in real wood. Here we discuss how this versatile product can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, living/dining rooms and will complement a range of interior styles from traditional to modern.
The lighter shade of cream is ideal for use in rooms which would benefit from more light. These cream porcelain tiles will enhance spaces where there is less natural light and lend a serenely calm quality to bathrooms, kitchens and open plan living areas.
Our brown and nut colour variations are ideal for those looking to achieve a classic and traditional style within their home. These wood-effect porcelain tiles bring a warm heritage character to living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens; for those seeking drama for their interior, the rich dark brown shade will add to their scheme; the subtle mid-brown tones of nut porcelain tiles will look harmonious.
In versatile mid-grey and cool beige tones, our grey porcelain tiles are very popular for those who seek to create an understated Scandinavian style in their home which is so popular at the moment.
Our wood-effect porcelain tiles are available in elongated 1000x144mm dimensions which means that they can be laid in a number of different ways to achieve different finishes. The obvious way to lay them is to stagger the joints in a plank-like, floorboard manner which is probably the most traditional option. Tiles can also be laid either parallel or perpendicular to walls - this can serve to visually widen a narrow space.
Herringbone and basketweave patterns are very effective and our porcelain tiles can also be laid in geometric patterns, or with borders and dissecting lines in larger, open plan spaces, as with a parquet floor motif.
Besides our popular Wood range, at our Surrey tile warehouse we have over 1 million ceramic and porcelain tiles in stock, for both walls and floors.
